Coding + Creative Play

with optional sibling open play

Saturday

January 24th

8:00am-8:45am

This class is designed for families with multiple kids — without pretending it’s a drop-off miracle.

While Kindergarten–2nd graders participate in a guided coding and creative problem-solving class, younger siblings enjoy open play in the same space with a parent or caregiver present and supervising at all times.

One location. One time slot. No juggling multiple activities.

What Older Kids Will Do

Kids rotate through a mix of:

  • Beginner coding using visual blocks and logic-based tools

  • Computer fundamentals (mouse control, keyboard skills, early typing)

  • Hands-on games and crafts that build core computer science thinking:

    • patterns

    • sequencing

    • debugging

    • cause & effect

    • working within rules and constraints

  • Online safety basics
We cover age-appropriate rules for safe technology use, including asking for help, understanding boundaries, and being thoughtful with devices.

Learning happens through play, movement, and making — screens are just one of the tools, not the whole experience.
