Join us for Hands-On Reading Support. This is a 6 week Orton-Gillingham Strategies course for new readers. During this class, children will be informally assessed to determine their current phonics skill set, and weekly plans will be tailored to their needs. We will engage in multi-sensory activities using movement and a variety of tactile materials to practice letter sounds including short and long vowels, blends, digraphs, Bossy R, diphthongs, etc. Students will also practice segmenting and blending sounds in order to decode and spell words accurately.
