ABOUT JACKSON THE THERAPY DOG

Kaitlyn and her golden retriever, Jax, are a certified mom-and-dog therapy team who have been volunteering together for the past year. They participate in the Ridgewood library’s popular Read-to-a-Dog program, where children build confidence and improve their reading skills by reading aloud to therapy dogs. They also support students in the Effective School Solutions Mental Health Program at Sayreville War Memorial High School, providing comfort and reassurance to a group of young adults. Jax’s calm demeanor and friendly nature, creates a welcoming, judgment-free space that helps young children and students feel relaxed and encouraged. Together Jax and Kaitlyn are proud to support their community and look forward to their first day at Hiya Pal!
